Travis, Scott and I had a great time at the game tonight. Our seats were on the rail, next to the press box on the club box level. As good as any seats I’ve ever had at a game. We made our plans to go to the game over the weekend. On Monday night Dave Dickson called and said he’d be out of town and couldn’t use his tickets and offered them to me. so we greatfully accepted and bought one more on the club box level. Luckily the seat next to our was unoccupied all game. The Royals won, 9 to 6 and we even got 12 hits earning us a dozen donuts. Fortunately we met Travis right next to the Krispy Kream store so it wasn’t out of the way at all to cash in on our first dozen. come on over in the morning if you want a donut.
The game was a little slow until the 6th inning when we scored 6 runs. I never thought I’d find my self cheering against the Dodgers, but tonight I did. And so did Travis.
The following is an excerpt from the Royals homepage:
“OK, winning five consecutive games might not mean that much to some teams, but in Kansas City that’s cause for a celebration. This has been a long, hard season. At least, until now.”
Travis took this picture of the scoreboard with the announced attendance of 16,182! small crowd but worth 194,184 donuts!

You can see all of his game photos here.
Those Royals, all they needed was a new manager! Did Sweeny play? Heard he got hurt the night before.
Sweeny sprained his wrist and will be out a few days. The last i read was it would only keep him out for less than a week.
the royals need him to keep winning.
