The only thing more embarrassing than Brad being behind on the bet is displaying the Royals banner (5 wins; 16 losses) on his blog.
Ok, as of April 29,10:53 PDT, it’s tied. Maybe this one is going down to the wire…. At least til July.

Do you think the Royals will give out Krispy Kreme donuts if they get 12 hits this (entire) season?
Brad’s lead has slowly increased to the 5-6 range over the last week or so. I’m sure that will give him solice at the end of the year when he comes up short by 8-10. I’m not overconfident, but I still don’t believe the Rockies will stay in first place for very much longer. Of course the Reds may not either. It’s a long season.
just to make it clear it’s 12 hits in a game – not a season. otherwise they would have given away donuts by the 14th or 15th game of the year.
It a long season and the royals have won 5 of the last 7 – and h’m sure they will get to the 12 hits in a game to give away the donuts. last year it only happened about 5 times.
i fear the reds are for real – but i agree with you on the rockies.
