How long does it take for the bet site to be updated after a game is over?

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

I just did a test. As soon as the Yankees beat the Braves I started checking the bet site to see how long it would take for my update. The answer: Less than 3 minutes!!

Orval called me today to congratulate me on being up by 3 touchdowns! Now I’m up by 3 touchdowns with one 2 point conversion!

Update on the bet

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

I haven’t talked about the bet much lately because I don’t want to jinx what’s happening right now. As of this morning I’m up by 21 points. The best part of it is that the Royals have been winning. 8 of the last 10 and 9 of 12. they’ve had a couple of well pitched games but it is mostly because of solid timely hitting. Last night’s game was a very typical win for them. They got an early lead with a one run home run from Brown but they quickly fell behind 5 to 1. they turned it around and took a 7 to 5 lead, lost that and went into the 9th tied at 7 to 7. Matt Stairs hit a 2 out 2 run pinch hit home run for a 9 to 7 lead. Our closer came in and gave up a bases empty home run to get the save and we won another high scoring game. the win was very special for me because we bet the Reds who are one of the teams I picked to lose. Not only did I get a point for that game but Jerry didn’t.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to post yesterday. I left the house very early to drive to Lake Ozark, Mo for a business meeting. Here’s today’s quote, which I saw on the bumper of a car recently:

Stuck at 964

it looks like the photo of Chelsea on her birthday in kindergarden has stalled at 964 – that is until you click here. I was hoping to hit the 1,000 hit mark with this photo.

My brother-in-Law John sent me a list of about 75 quotes he has been saving for years. Today is the first one I will use from his list. In the future I may use more of his quotes, however, I won’t take the time to acknowledge that they are from his list. I guess you will just have to wonder.
