Christmas with the Johnsons
Saturday, December 29th, 2007Congratulations to Orval Fisher!
Saturday, December 22nd, 2007Congratulations to Orval Fisher the winner of the first ever “Who can be first to respond to a post on brad’s bobeche blog” As the winner he will have his biography featured on this blog, if fact in this very post!! It doesn’t get any better than this! At least for Orval it doesn’t.
Orval was born in Canada in 1952. He may have lived in an igloo before moving to the United States some time in the mid 1950s. The only really significant thing to happen in his life as a boy was the birth of his younger sister, June. June is a wonderful person, we wish we could say the same thing about Orval. Of course we could, but the readers of brad’s bobeche blog have come to expect total honesty in these postings. In that spirit i well write that Orval is a wonderful person too and he has the bluest eyes.
While in college Orval married Susan Barker. We are still trying to figure out how he pulled that off. He taught school for a few years and worked as a minister for about 25 years. Somewhere in that time frame he and susan had a beautiful daughter, Nicole. Nicole is now a lawyer.
Orval is a Denver Broncos fan. He also has a sister named Jeanne and a brother named Fred. He shaved off his cheesy mustache about 3 years ago, not long after he had his heart attack. the two may be related.
Once again, Congratulations to Orval Fisher
Couldn’t sleep…

Chels and me circa 2000
Saturday, December 22nd, 2007Seasons Greetings to Members of both Parties
Friday, December 21st, 2007To all my Democrat friends:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes
for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress,
non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice
holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the
religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your
choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or
traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or
secular traditions at all.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and
medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally
accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the
calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society
have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is
necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the
Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race,
creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual
preference of the wishee.
To all my Republican friends:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
