Travis has been in town since Sunday. We have had a great time hanging out with him. So far we have seen 2 movies, gone to the Royal’s game, drove around The Legend’s parking lot (we never did find a space), played games, ate breakfast at Grammy and Papa’s and went out to eat with Aunt Jeanne, Jen, Elias, Gabe and Sadie.

Rachel gets in town tonight!!!

All About Family & Friends!

I just made this mini wedding scrapbook that is all about our special family and friends that were in our wedding. The scrapbook goes in the cardboard purse I decorated. I am really pleased with how it turned out.

Below are the top 5 items I would love in our house:

1. I love these chairs from Pottery Barn. From the first time I saw them back in March I’ve wanted to buy them. Lucky for me we are in need of kitchen chairs, so I think this will be our next purchase. (I just don’t know when that will be!) 2. I also like the white table with the chairs. They go so well together. 3. This desk is very nice. Travis and Rachel actually have this, and I love how it looks in their office.

  1. The polka-dotted lamp shades are too cute!
  2. Doesn’t this chandelier scream my name?! This wouldn’t match our kitchen right now, but I would love to have it.

Happy Birthday MOM!!

Friday, July 13th, 2007

Today was my wonderful mother’s birthday! We spent the whole day together and had a blast. Mom and I met for breakfast at First Watch and spent the afternoon shopping! Grammy, Papa, Mom and Dad came over for dinner. We made honey glazed chicken. I think everyone liked it. After that Aunt Jeanne, Uncle Greg, Jen, Elias, Gabe and Sadie joined us for dessert. I made a cherry chocolate moose pie and my tradition cookie cake for dessert.  My mother is the best and I hope she had a fantastic day!

Gabe made Mom a baseball card and was very excited. He came running in saying, “I made a card for it. I made a card for it!”

What a mess

Our backyard has been covered with leaves ever since we’ve lived here. It has bugged us but we haven’t done anything about it. I have been planning on cleaning it up this summer, and now with only a month left I thought I better do it. This project ended up being a quick one. Raking up the leaves and sweeping only took around 20 minutes. All I need is Scott’s help to put the leaves in a trash bag.

A huge pile of leaves.

Gilmore Groupie

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

My brother and sister-in-law introduced Scott and I to The Gilmore Girls, and now we are hooked.  They let us borrow the first three seasons, and we finished them in a couple weeks.  Travis is bringing out seasons 4 & 5 when he comes to town.  I can’t wait to see what happens next!  It is a very fun and happy show to watch about a mother and daughter.  It always puts me in a good mood.  I often find myself smiling during the episodes.
