New Couch!

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Heidi and Aaron needed a place to store their couch and asked if we wanted it for two years! Of course we did!! My parents helped us bring it to or house on Sunday. It’s very heavy, so we decided to have it upstairs and take our couch from Jen and Elias to the basement. Below are pictures with our new couch.

Wedding In Arkansas!

Monday, September 24th, 2007

This past weekend Scott, Lindsay and I drove to Arkansas for Jordan and Linda’s wedding. (Matthew drove up earlier that week!) We didn’t start our 7-hour drive until 6:30 on Friday night. We stayed in a hotel that night and the next day explored the little town we were in. It was so small that we were forced to go into a Wal-Mart! Lindz & I were looking for cute Halloween decorations, which we found in some fun boutiques!

Jordan and Linda’s wedding was outside on Jordan’s parent’s land. It was beautiful and perfect for them. Linda is a huge animal lover, and so their two dogs were their ring bearers! We stayed at the reception for about an hour and then Lindz, Matthew, Scott and I headed home at 8:00. We arrived home at 4AM because we took a slight detour that was not planned. (Oops!) Scott and I taught Sunday school in the morning!! We were exhausted the next day, but I am so glad we went.

I am so happy it is getting close to the holidays!!  We are decorated for Halloween, although we do not have very many decorations yet.  I figure over the years we’ll collect more and more.  Each year Scott and I are buying a piece to the Department 56 Halloween village.  We wanted to buy Mickey’s Haunted House (pictured above) this year because of the spooky ride at Disneyland/world!  My mom did not know this was the piece we wanted but bought it for us this year as a surprise!!  How sweet!  I wanted to take a picture of the Halloween cake plate because it is one of my favorite Halloween decorations.  Scott bought it for me 2 or 3 Halloweens ago!!  I love it and was excited to use it last night.

Happy Birthday Grammy!

A few hours ago the family came over to celebrate Grammy’s birthday!! It was on the 28th. We had a wonderful time and were very entertained by Gabe and Sadie. I love spending time with family. I have posted a few pictures below.

I have a cute Gabe story to share: On Saturday we went over to Jen and Elias’ to eat dinner and watch a movie. (I love going to their house!!) After eating dinner we went down to play for a little bit before Gabe and Sadie went to bed. Jen and Gabe went downstairs first. I went down a couple minutes after them. When Gabe saw me he pointed and said, “It’s one of Scott’s.” Jen asked him what was one of Scott’s and Gabe said, “It’s one of Scott’s Chelseas.” Jen tried to explain that I am his only Chelsea and that we are not polygamists! It was pretty cute. Gabe loves Scott. Tonight he would look at a picture and tell me it was Chelsea and Scott and not Gabe and Scott! I think he really wanted to be in the pictures with Scott!

This weekend we also went to Erin and Kyle’s new apartment! They have a very nice and big place. We had a really fun time with them. We ate dinner and played a game they just got called something (I forgot! but it’s similar to Settlers of Catan) Anyways, it was a great game but it took forever because we’d be talking instead of playing and they said, when it was my turn I would not realize it and then take a while to figure out what I was going to do!  I had a fantastic 4 day weekend!
