Day 2 with my car…

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

If you read my previous post you know I locked my keys in my car on Oct. 1st. I had more adventures with my car on October 2nd.

When I was ready to leave school my car wouldn’t start and of course, it was the second day this year I left my cell phone at home!! I called Scott from my school phone and asked him to come jump-start me. He was on his way, but I decided to ask Andrea, a teacher I work with, is she had jumper cables. She didn’t so we ask Martin, our janitor, if he had any. He didn’t as well, but he did have a great idea to push start my car. For some reason push starting my car was confusing to me and it took them a couple tries/pushes for me to do the right thing at the right time.

Finally it worked and I yelled out my window, “I need to call Scott and don’t have a cell phone!” Andrea ran inside to get her phone. I thought I couldn’t stop the car so I drove around our tiny parking lot in the back laughing and filling very ridiculous! Andrea came running out with her phone just as I was headed the opposite direction. I yelled out my window, “I don’t know what I’m doing, and I can’t stop!!!” She was bent over laughing at me and yelled back, “Martin says you can stop your car, but don’t turn it off!” I guess he was trying to get my attention to tell me that! I called Scott, and Andrea insisted I take her phone incase anything happened on my way home. How SWEET!! Again, I would have to say I feel very blessed to work with 3 awesome teachers. We work well together, are very supportive of one another and have a good time with each other!

Happy October 1st!!

S’more Pirate

I am so excited for the Holiday season to begin, and in my book they have!! I kicked off the 1st day of October by locking my keys in my car. Luckily my Dad was in town because Scott was working. He drove all the way out to my school to pick me up and drive me home. THANKS DAD!! I bet he never thought he would pick me up from 1st grade again!  My parents have always done things like this for me. I hope I have always let them know how much I appreciate everything they do for me! God blessed me with two WONDERFUL parents and a FANTASTIC husband!!
