Happy Easter!

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a wonderful day.

Sara was in town for Spring Break and spent the day with us! She is just like family. Scott, Sara and I started the day off with breakfast at church. We then had a beautiful service, and afterwards we went to my parent’s for lunch. Gabe and Sadie had an Easter egg hunt and then Scott, Sara, Nicole, Bailey and I did as well! The Easter Bunny left Scott and I a very cute basket filled with goodies and Bailey an adorable basket with a lollypop and money to Land of Paws. After lunch we celebrated Uncle Greg, Aunt Jeanne and Jen’s birthdays! Happy Birthday to all three of you!!! Around dinner Dad, Mom and Grammy came over and played the Mexican Train Game with Scott and I. After they left, Scott and I watched some episodes of Scrubs. It was a great day because I love being with family. Although, I really missed seeing Papa, and watching him make a circle around his watch to tell Grammy it was time to go.

Graham & Kristie’s Wedding

Graham & Kristie’s Wedding

This past weekend Scott and I met the rest of our family in Houston, TX for my cousin Graham’s wedding. We had an awesome time! We stayed in a beautiful hotel with the rest of our family, which was fun! Scott and I shared a room with Travis. I enjoyed that because we had more time to talk. On Saturday morning, we met our family for a free breakfast, thanks to Grammy, Nicole and Travis. (The hotel messed up our reservations and the 3 of them had to sleep on cots.) After breakfast Mom, Dad, Grammy, Travis, Scott and I took a trip to Target and James Avery! We then went back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful!! My dad married Graham and Kristie and did a perfect job. The reception was at the Houston Aquarium. It was very cool there. When we stepped off the elevator there was a scuba diver holding a sign that said, “Congratulation Kristie and Graham!”

The food and company was wonderful!  I think my favorite part of the reception was being out on the balcony and talking with family (especially the bride and groom!)  The view of Houston from the balcony and the weather was beautiful.  I really enjoyed the night.

On Friday night Dad and Mom came over and brought pizza. That was nice of them to bring it to our house! Below is a video of us hanging out. (You can’t really see Bailey in it but Mom is trying to get her to go up the stairs.)

After my parents left Scott and I picked Colin, Scott’s good friend, and Meghan, his girlfriend, up from the airport. We had a great time with them. We went to the movies, out to eat, and played games. We went one other place this weekend. Scott took a picture of me in the building. Who knows where we went? This is not a contest like my Dad’s because it is a much easier question and I can’t afford to give out million dollars!

guess where!

1 year

One year ago today Scott and I closed on our townhome! I can’t believe we have owned our home for a year now. I love our house and am so happy in it. I think Bailey will enjoy living here as much as we do!

WELCOME KEIRA!!!

Today I became an AUNT and Scott became an UNCLE!!!   Keith and Sarah had their adorable little baby this morning at 10:00.  She is 7lbs and 3 oz.  My mom said that was how much I weighed when I was born…she is already wanting to be like her aunt!  I’m just kidding.  She has two wonderful parents that are going to give her the best supportive and loving home possible.  I am so happy and excited for Keith and Sarah and can’t wait to meet Keira in 92 days…the countdown is on!!

Dance Party!

Dance Party!

On our way home from St. Louis we picked Bailey up and decided to stay for dinner and games with Grammy, Isabel, Mom and Dad.  It did feel sad that Papa wasn’t there.  It will never be the same, but we did have a great time together.  We played many rounds of UNO.  Isabel won the first 3 rounds and would dance after each time she won.  The dancing caught on and we all began doing it after we won.

Angels and Airwaves in St. Louis!

AVA

This past weekend Scott and I went to St. Louis to see Angels and Airwaves. We had a great time. The concert was AWESOME!! We were as close to the stage as possible, which was exciting. They are an incredible band sending out good messages. It does make me very sad that Blink is not around, but at least AVA is something positive that came from the break up.

After the concert Scott and I stayed with Tristi and her boyfriend Greg. We had a great time with them. They are fun to be with. We went to the movies, played games, went out to eat and watched videos from when Scott and Tristi were younger! I hope to go back and visit them again soon.

We also had lunch with Bret, Julie and Cadence. It was good to see them. Cadence is adorable!!

It was nice to get away this weekend although, we were very anxious to get back to Bailey. She had a fun vacation with my parents!! She ran around the house and snuggled with them a lot. We were very thankful that they took her for us. Thanks Mom and Dad!!
