Bridal Shower

shower

This past Saturday was Lindsay’s bridal shower. It was my first shower, and hopefully not my last! Although, I never could have done it all by myself. The other bridesmaides (in the top picture) and my mom helped a lot with it. We ate, talked and watched Lindsay open presents! We played tic-tac-toe with the presents while she opened them. (Everyone started with a blank tic-tac-toe board and filled in the presents they thought Lindsay would receive.) I thought the whole thing went great and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!

The Dream Team

My Mom, Grandma and I are going to California to participate in a arthritis walk. We are trying to raise money. Please read below.  It will explain more about what we are doing. You may donate here! Thank you in advance for your support!

…California dreamin’… We’re going to California for a very special reason, to participate in the Santa Barbara Arthritis Walk. We are three generations of a family that knew and loved Andy from when he was about three years old. I (Chelsea) was his playmate and school mate when we lived in California. My mom (June) and Andy’s mom, Tere, were and still are best friends so Andy was in our home all the time. My grandma (Isabella) babysat Andy on the day Kristen was born and got to know the whole family over the years. Needless to say our families have shared a very special 22 year friendship. Andy got sick when he was about five years old but always lived life to the fullest. Over the next 14 years arthritis gradually took control of his body but never his courageous spirit. He alwyas had a huge smile on his face for us and a positive attitude. He will remain in our hearts forever and that is why this dream team is California dreamin’. Thousands of people across the country will join together to help improve the lives of 46 million Americans affected with doctor-diagnosed arthritis. The Arthritis Walk will be led by inspirational men, women and children with arthritis. We hope that you will support our efforts.

ROYALS shirt

Yesterday Scott and I went to the game with Matthew and Lindsay. We got there 2 hours early because they were giving away Royals’ jerseys. The only size they had left was small when we went through the gate. Lindz and I were excited to get our jerseys but felt bad for the guys. It was chaotic getting them!!

at the game

We met freinds there but ended leving before the game started because it was SO COLD!! Afterwards we went to Matthew and Lindsay’s house. We brought Bailey over to meet their dog Claire. The dogs loved eachother and played like crazy.

Bailey with her favorite toy!

We have had Bailey for 7 weeks now and loved almost every minute of it!! She is such a sweet and cute little dog. Bailey did not like walks when we first got her, but she now loves them! My favorite thing is when she gets excited she shakes her little bottom instead of just her tail!  I love being a dog owner.

I love this purse!!

Grandma and Dad-Dad

Sixty years ago today it was my Grandma and Dad-Dad’s wedding day.  I am thinking of them both today and missing them.  I know they have wonderful memories together, and I have special memories of them. I will always remember spending time at their house, having a picnic/campfire on the beach, going to The Jolly Rodger everyday with Dad-Dad after school, making a 4th of July cake with Grandma, the stories of Dad-Dad’s M&M school, parties at their clubhouse, singing “left, left, left, right, left, first she married me…” as we walked around the harbor, my senior year spring break at their house…my memories go on and on.  I have so many memories of little moments of being at their house or of when they visited us at ours.  I will cherish them forever.
