Jim & Kathy’s visit

Jim and Kathy visited last weekend to help celebrate Scott’s birthday. We had a great time together. We went shopping, watched movies, played games, went out to eat and relaxed while they were here. Jim and Kathy gave Scott season 1 of Chuck. We got hooked on the show and watched all of it!

On Sunday night the four of us went to my parents to celebrate Scott’s birthday. They had friends over which was a surprise to Scott! It was fun having Jim and Kathy meet our friends. It was a perfect vacation!!

VBS

A few weeks ago was Vacation Bible School at our church. Scott and I were in the play as a pirate and princess. We had a great time doing this! Play practices were fun, and we had an awesome director! I’m glad our director convinced me to be in the play.

A New Tradition

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Thanks to John and Tere, Mom and I started a new tradition when we visit Abby. We are going to always stop by Great Harvest Bread Co. to pick up a loaf of bread to eat on the drive. This past visit we got peach cinnamon bread. That may not sound good, but it was delicious.

When we were in California John raved to us about this WONDERFUL bread store that he and Tere always go to on their way to Santa Barbara. So of course, on our way to Santa Barbara with John and Tere we went to the bread store. As we were pulling up to the store mom saw the sign and realized we have Great Harvest Bread Co. at home! It was pretty funny and became a joke for the rest of our visit. (It’s probably the kind of thing you have to be there for to really find funny!)

Visiting Abby

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

My mom, Aunt Jeanne, Grammy and I visited Abby yesterday! It was great to see her. It has been a year-in-a-half since I saw her last.

Abby looked wonderful. She still remembers me and loved getting a belly rub from me! It was a little bit hard to say goodbye. I know she is happy there, taken good care of and has lots of friends, but I still felt sad and miss her. I would love to have Abby, but we can’t in our town home.

We are so lucky to have found Sandy! She is an amazing lady and a blessing to us. Sandy works all day and then comes home to 174 pigs to take care of and 40 acres to keep clean. What a BIG job!!

The drive was around 8 to 9 hours total, which made it an all day event. We really had a great time talking in the car!

Mom & Bailey

Today is my wonderful mom’s birthday!! I hope she had a great day. It was full of church and VBS with a little birthday cake thrown in there!!  I love you Mom!! (I know that frame is a little out of control, but I couldn’t resist buying it for Bailey to give to her!!  I know Bill Budro would think that frame was crazy!)

wedding cake

Scott and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary yesterday! To kick off the celebration we ate a piece of our wedding cake and watched part of the video from our wedding day. (We watched the “music videos” with clips from our wedding day on it!) I love watching our wedding video because it brings back the exciting feelings I had that day! I feel SO blessed to have Scott as my husband. He is perfect for me!

Today is Travis and Rachel’s 5th anniversary! Happy 5th Travis and Rachel!!!

Baby Keira

This past week Scott and I went to South Carolina to visit our family and meet our new baby niece, Keira!!  She is an ADORABLE and SWEET 3-month-old baby.  WE LOVE HER!!  She has the cutest expressions and is very good. Scott and I had a wonderful vacation.  A lot of family came to town while we were there.  It was great to see everyone.  It is sad that we can’t go out there more often to visit.  We are now counting down the days to our next big family event…Tristi & Greg’s wedding!!!

California ‘08

I got back from my trip to California last night. I had a wonderful time. I traveled with my mom and Grandma Fisher. We stayed with my Grandma Johnson for four days. Each morning my mom and I took a walk along the beach. The scenery and weather was beautiful. We did a lot of visiting and saw friends and family while at my Grandma’s house. After our visit with my Grandma we went to Santa Barbara with our good friends the Dimperios for the Arthritis walk. The walk was wonderful. There were so many friends and family of the Dimperios that walked in memory of Andy and in support of his family. Andy was such an amazing person with a positive outlook on life. He has touched so many people’s lives, including mine (of course!). After the walk we did some shopping and then drove home to their house in Laguna Niguel. We spend the next day with them and did more shopping. When the girls (Tere, Kristen, my mom and I) are together that is what we like to do most! I had a fun trip full of laughter. I feel so blessed to have such great family and friends. Kristen is planning on coming out this summer to visit! I can’t wait. We are hoping Tere will come as well. We have a great time when the four girls are together. (This is the last time I’ll say anything about this Tere!!)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

My Dad’s Birthday was on the 24th. Scott and I spent the day with my parents and had a lot of fun. We started off eating breakfast at our house. After that we went to the movies to see Indiana Jones. We all enjoyed that. Next, we went over to my parents and watched the season finale for How I Met Your Mother. IT WAS AWESOME!! We then took a nice walk and after that played a game of Mexican Train Game. I hope Dad and a great birthday. I know I had a great 1st day of summer!!
