ornament wreath

This past weekend Sara, Lindsay and I made ornament wreaths. (Thank you Jen for the good tips and examples!!) This is something Sara and I have wanted to do for the past 3 Thanksgiving breaks! Lindsay and Sara made a Christmas wreath, and I made a Halloween wreath. I think all 3 wreaths looked great when they were done! I am so happy with mine and now want to make a Christmas wreath. Sara and I have plans to make a Valentines and an Easter wreath or centerpiece. Is that too much?!

Jen and Lee’s Wedding!

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Jen & Lee

On 08.08.08 was Jen and Lee’s wedding. I would probably be telling you their wedding was beautiful, but I can’t because Scott and I were in a police station for an hour before the wedding. On our way to the wedding our car broke down, and luckily a police station was near by so we could sit in the air conditioning and wait for my wonderful parents to bring us their car so we could go to the wedding. When my parents got there they called a tow truck for us and waited for it to come. (Thank you Dad and Mom!) Luckily Scott and I had given ourselves plenty of time to get to the wedding so we were only 8 minutes late. (I guess that was a lucky number for the date of the wedding!) Unfortunately, the doors were locked and we couldn’t get in because we were late. I felt HORRIBLE that we were missing their wedding. However, we did get to go to the reception, and it was a blast. Jen and Lee seemed so happy, and Jen looked beautiful. They are perfect for each other. It was at a very cool reception hall, and the food was delicious. We saw lots of friends and enjoyed our evening! After the wedding Sara, Meredith and I spent the night at Lindsay’s house and the guys spent the night at Scott’s and my house.  It was a fun evening…besides the car part!!

VBS

A few weeks ago was Vacation Bible School at our church. Scott and I were in the play as a pirate and princess. We had a great time doing this! Play practices were fun, and we had an awesome director! I’m glad our director convinced me to be in the play.

A New Tradition

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Thanks to John and Tere, Mom and I started a new tradition when we visit Abby. We are going to always stop by Great Harvest Bread Co. to pick up a loaf of bread to eat on the drive. This past visit we got peach cinnamon bread. That may not sound good, but it was delicious.

When we were in California John raved to us about this WONDERFUL bread store that he and Tere always go to on their way to Santa Barbara. So of course, on our way to Santa Barbara with John and Tere we went to the bread store. As we were pulling up to the store mom saw the sign and realized we have Great Harvest Bread Co. at home! It was pretty funny and became a joke for the rest of our visit. (It’s probably the kind of thing you have to be there for to really find funny!)

Beautiful Wedding!

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Matthew and Lindsay’s wedding was this past Sunday. It was a beautiful wedding and a very fun weekend. The wedding rehearsal was Saturday afternoon. After the rehearsal we ate at Brio on The Plaza.

The rest of the day Lindsay and the bridesmaids hung out. We stayed at the Fairmont Hotel and sat around Fairmont’s pool and talked for a long time. That was very nice and relaxing. After that we ate at California Pizza Kitchen, walked around The Plaza and then went back to our hotel and hung out some more! It was a great day and so much fun to hang out with friends!

Everything on Sunday went very smooth! Lindsay was a beautiful bride!! The wedding was wonderful and everything about it was perfect. The reception was in the hotel’s ballroom on the top floor. They had a dessert reception, which was awesome! There were all kinds of yummy sweets!

I was honored to be Lindsay’s matron of honor and excited for Scott to be the best man! I thought that was fun to be able to walk with him and be his partner in the group pictures! Scott and I feel so blessed to have such great friends. We always enjoy our time together with Lindsay and Matthew.
