This past weekend Sara, Lindsay and I made ornament wreaths. (Thank you Jen for the good tips and examples!!) This is something Sara and I have wanted to do for the past 3 Thanksgiving breaks! Lindsay and Sara made a Christmas wreath, and I made a Halloween wreath. I think all 3 wreaths looked great when they were done! I am so happy with mine and now want to make a Christmas wreath. Sara and I have plans to make a Valentines and an Easter wreath or centerpiece. Is that too much?!

Saturday, October 18th, 2008Socratic
Thursday, May 22nd, 2008Today was my last day with my students. I have been SO EXCITED for this day to come, but now that it’s here I’m sad. Today was not the exciting day I was anticipating. I liked my students and will miss seeing their sweet little faces. As soon as summer officially starts I know I’ll be excited.
p.s- I got the Socratic CD today and really like it!!
Bridal Shower
Monday, April 28th, 2008This past Saturday was Lindsay’s bridal shower. It was my first shower, and hopefully not my last! Although, I never could have done it all by myself. The other bridesmaides (in the top picture) and my mom helped a lot with it. We ate, talked and watched Lindsay open presents! We played tic-tac-toe with the presents while she opened them. (Everyone started with a blank tic-tac-toe board and filled in the presents they thought Lindsay would receive.) I thought the whole thing went great and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!
60 Years ago today…
Friday, April 4th, 2008
Sixty years ago today it was my Grandma and Dad-Dad’s wedding day. I am thinking of them both today and missing them. I know they have wonderful memories together, and I have special memories of them. I will always remember spending time at their house, having a picnic/campfire on the beach, going to The Jolly Rodger everyday with Dad-Dad after school, making a 4th of July cake with Grandma, the stories of Dad-Dad’s M&M school, parties at their clubhouse, singing “left, left, left, right, left, first she married me…” as we walked around the harbor, my senior year spring break at their house…my memories go on and on. I have so many memories of little moments of being at their house or of when they visited us at ours. I will cherish them forever.
Happy Easter!
Sunday, March 23rd, 2008Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a wonderful day.
Sara was in town for Spring Break and spent the day with us! She is just like family. Scott, Sara and I started the day off with breakfast at church. We then had a beautiful service, and afterwards we went to my parent’s for lunch. Gabe and Sadie had an Easter egg hunt and then Scott, Sara, Nicole, Bailey and I did as well! The Easter Bunny left Scott and I a very cute basket filled with goodies and Bailey an adorable basket with a lollypop and money to Land of Paws. After lunch we celebrated Uncle Greg, Aunt Jeanne and Jen’s birthdays! Happy Birthday to all three of you!!! Around dinner Dad, Mom and Grammy came over and played the Mexican Train Game with Scott and I. After they left, Scott and I watched some episodes of Scrubs. It was a great day because I love being with family. Although, I really missed seeing Papa, and watching him make a circle around his watch to tell Grammy it was time to go.

Dance Party!
Monday, March 3rd, 2008
On our way home from St. Louis we picked Bailey up and decided to stay for dinner and games with Grammy, Isabel, Mom and Dad. It did feel sad that Papa wasn’t there. It will never be the same, but we did have a great time together. We played many rounds of UNO. Isabel won the first 3 rounds and would dance after each time she won. The dancing caught on and we all began doing it after we won.
OUR SWEET BAILEY!!!
Tuesday, February 26th, 2008
Scott and I got the sweetest little Boston Terrier this past weekend named Bailey. We love her! She is a rescued dog that has been in a HORRIBLE puppy mill for the last 6 years. Bailey is on a special diet to get her back to her normal weight.
Riley has been over for the past week. Bailey and Riley have been getting along great. I think Bailey (and I) will be sad when he goes home. One of Riley’s favorite part about Bailey being here is that he gets to lick her bowl clean when she is done eating!
(Scott and I tried to take Bailey on a walk but she would not walk with us. I don’t think she’s been on a walk before. We’ll try again when it’s warmer out.)
Happy Halloween!

Celebrations & Goodbyes
Tuesday, August 7th, 2007We celebrated Elena’s 1st birthday a little early yesterday at Fuddruckers. I can’t believe she’s almost ONE! They all seem to be growing up so fast…yet they’re still so little!
Aaron is leaving for London next Wednesday so we said goodbye to him. Aaron, Heidi and the kids are starting a very exciting journey, and I’m so happy for them. What an adventure!!
This morning Mom, Scott and I went for breakfast at Grammy and Papa’s house. Today is their 59th Wedding Anniversary!! WOW! It was fun to celebrate with them bye eating our breakfast on the porch. They are truly an amazing couple. They’ve touched many lives with their love, kindness, and faith in God. What an example for Scott and I!
